Welcome to the website of the Prince Edward County Master Gardeners.

We want to thank all the people who came out in the rather dreary weather to support our  Plant Sale on Saturday, May 25th.  The rain did come in earnest around 10:30 am and we decided to pack up.  That was the first time our plant sale was rained out in a very long time.  Rain happens – a lot lately – we’ll see you all next year and thanks again.

We take a break during the summer months, mostly to tend to our own gardens. Our last meeting until September will be on Saturday, June 15th at the library.  Anyone can attend our meetings and if you’d like to come, send us a note (see Contact).

The final plans for our WILD ABOUT HERBS presentation with Conrad and Aku Richter of Richter’s Herbs is well underway.  The event will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10 am until 3 pm.  Tickets are $35 and include lunch in the beautiful atrium at The Wellings, they go on sale at Eventbrite on June 1st.  For tickets go to: https://wild-about-herbs.eventbrite.ca

For more information, click on the Wild About Herbs section above.

Also, new this year is information about the Watershed Program in this area.

There are all kinds of articles here, written by Master Gardeners that you can view, download and print.  You’ll find them under Articles, Tips and Resources. There are also lots of gardening website suggestions in that same menu item.

Feel free to look around and if you’d like to become a Master Gardener, get in touch with us, download the application form (which you can find under Become a Master Gardener) or come to one of our meetings and meet the friendly Master Gardeners!
